After we left Norman’s on May 16th, we stopped into the fuel dock at Highborne Cay to get some water and a few groceries at the overpriced resort store. Many things are relatively expensive in the Bahamas, but a small head of cabbage was $9.50 at this place…

Anyways, we anchored on the west side of the cay, threw our conch farm over the side (two or more conch tied together so that they don’t go anywhere) and got ready to take a dip.

Until we saw a huge fish just hanging out under the boat. We didn’t think it was a shark, but it was bigger than any fish we’d seen.

We stuck the camera on a pike pole to get a closer look…

Turns out it was just a barracuda.
